You may have heard of this map, because I launched this project years ago, using Google Maps technology, but since the world moves away from US Big Tech, I’ve exported the 148 locations on the map and imported them in Umap, a French open source initiative, based on Open Street Map.

The colour codes didn’t come along with the conversion, so we’ll have to do without it for a while, but that’s a price worth paying for our digital freedom. I’ve restore a few colours of the session that I know are still alive in my area (the Wild West of Holland, Leiden, Haarlem, Amsterdam, The Hague).

The map is free for anyone to edit, so I hope you take the effort to help and add and update the Irish sessions that you know in your area and remove those on the map that are no longer running. Here is how to edit the map.
